In 2019, I have been working further on ideas begun in 2018 and carried on during a one-month residency in October at the Medalta International Artist Residency in Medicine Hat, Alberta. I have been continuing to develop sculptural forms based on thrown pots, which I stretch, alter and add to, making heads, carrier ships, cargo boxes, shipping containers, toothpaste tubes, crushed plastic bottles and pop cans as well as logs, flowers, and other organic forms I had been making last year. This year I am focussing more on issues around excess, waste, international shipping, consumption, desire, and the human impact on the natural world. Here are a few of the pieces I have been making. I am also STILL MAKING POTS!
